Expressions
Zatra ny lalan-dririnina ka fahavaratra avy no manao hitsin-dalana : Habitué des raccourcis en hivers, on continue à les emprunter au printemps / accustomed to the short cuts in winter, they continue to use them in spring.
It is an expression to qualify people who took a practice and who do not leave it even if times change. In fact, as the cultivable ground are naked during the winter, they can not take the paths round but make a short cut and trample the fields. But when comes the spring, they canot anymore trample the fields because they started to cultivate the ground.
Tsy mena-mivadika toy ny andro ririnina : Changer en rien de temps et sans gène, tel l’hiver / To change of anything time and with no embarrassment, like winter.
They are people who dare to change opinion and th betray their family and friends without gene. Indeed, during the winter in Madagascar, the weather is sometimes cold and sometimes hot, it has the sun and a few minutes afterwards, it rains. Such are the cold people without scruple. They turn over their jackets in a little time and say the opposite of what they said little time before.
To break with his wife in full winter is to choose to sleep alone and to put its hands between its own thighs to be heated.
This expression is recent. They said that the winter is not the best time to separate from his wife under penalty of not having somebody in bed against which to stick itself to have heat. Lonely in his bed the night, the man is obliged to bend and put his hands between his own thights to have a little heat. This expression is thus to qualify the impatient people who choose to leave comfort for then to have a hard time with the precarious and fragile average that they have.
