Cette expression sous-entend qu’un travail d’envergure nécessite que l’on s’entraide pour le faire, car tout seul on n’y arrivera pas. / The maintenance of rice field and the clearing are tasks that require a lot of work and strengh. Therefore, it takes many people to do it. This expression overtone that a big work demands that we help each other because we can’t do it alone.

2. Ny asa natao an-kira, toa vita tsy natao : Un travail fait en chanson se termine comme si on ne l’avait pas fait. / A work done in song ends as if we had not done it.

Chanter est un loisir qui peut procurer beaucoup de plaisir à certaines personnes. Cela peut même les aider à faire les tâches qui leur sont assignées avec entrain. Cette expression nous explique qu’au lieu de nous plaindre et traîner des pieds, si on met tout notre coeur à l’ouvrage, nous finirons notre travail plus vite, comme s’il n’avait jamais commencé. / Singing is a hobby that can give a lot of pleasure to some people. Cette expression est similaire à celle qui nous dit de ne jamais remettre au lendemain ce qu’on peut faire le jour même. Il faut s’y mettre dès qu’on le peut encore, car nul ne sait ce qui se passera demain. / This expression is similar to the one that tells us never to put off until tomorrow what we can do today. We must get started as soon as we can because no one knows what will happen tomorrow.
